ORDER: The state in which people behave properly, follow rules or laws, and respect authority (Merriam-Webster).

In our garden of long ago, this cocky little Pin-tailed Whydah which we named the “Sheriff”, used to keep good order at mealtimes. With his long tail feathers fully extended in the upright position, he kept his “underlings” at a respectful distance while he ate his fill. Only once he left the dinner table, were the other feathered garden residents at liberty to join in the feast.
