We love our early morning walks on the beach, especially over weekends, when work is put on the back burner. It is always a treat to see these little crabs coming forth from their holes in the sand and form a line along the edge of the water. They all wait for that perfect wave and then they surf away (where to?) on the outgoing tide.

This past weekend we decided to sit on the sand and wait for them, to see whether they return to the same holes. The tide started coming in and we noticed these curious little fountains springing up where formerly the little crabs burrowed into the sand.

(Sorry, the video was made on a cellphone and the quality is not good).
